I have to say, Nick and Norah is one of my favorite books of all
time. It all starts when Norah-babysitting her friend at a club- and
Nick-playing at the club- see Triss. Not only is she the evil ex to
Nick, but she haunts Norah's school days as well. Then it happens "Will
you be my girlfriend for the next five minutes?" Nick asks. She answers
by kissing him. That is what begins their night in NYC. It is funny,
sweet, and a little emotional. After Nick and Norah's journey finding
"Fluffy" and avoiding Triss and Tal (Norah's off but mostly on-again ex)
you don't want to let them be. This book makes you want to meet the
perfect someone for you and want to make someone smile even when you
fight.
I would most definitely recommend this book for high schoolers,
adults, aliens, anyone really. 5/5 stars
*Caution: this book rivals the movie version, the story is slightly different but equally satisfying.

This book is told in the alternating chapters of Nick, the recently
dumped yet nonetheless lovesick bass player in a band without a
drummer; and Norah, a slightly tom-boyish and sarcastic girl with some
self esteem issues. The two are bound together by two things: their
mutual (ex-girl)friend and their love for music, for a long and
eventful night in New York City. Filled with friendship,
self-realization, witty dialogue, and music; the book makes for a
pleasant, interesting read. While it may be too cutesy for some, I
would recommend this book to anyone in high school.
