This summer Musuem Pass is now offered from the State of Connecticut!

Connecticut Summer at the Museum - Free Admission for Kids

From July 1 to September 6, Connecticut children age 18 and under plus one accompanying adult can visit participating museums free of charge through the Connecticut Summer at the Museum program.

The program is part of Governor Lamont’s larger plan to use recovery funds to provide students and families with engaging summer enrichment and learning experiences in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Children’s Museum - West Hartford, CT

Use our library pass in conjunction with a library discount code. After obtaining our pass, call 860-231-2824 or email info@thechildrensmuseum.org for a library discount code. Then, use both library pass and library discount code to purchase a timed ticket online. Bring library pass to museum to confirm discount.  The museum is currently open Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This pass can also be used at:

Roaring Brook Nature Center - Canton, CT

Use the pass for free admission. The nature center is open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.

 


 

Beardsley Zoo - Bridgeport, CT

With our library pass, purchase tickets in person at the zoo’s EBT/LIBRARY/MEMBER window, only up to the pass maximum of 6 people. Additional tickets must be purchased in advance online. No extra on-site general admission tickets will be sold. Library pass users should not be concerned if they see a SOLD OUT message on the zoo’s website as that message pertains to general admission tickets and the zoo has allotted room in its capacity limits for library pass users.

The zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 


 

Institute for American Indian Studies - Washington, CT

Use our library pass for half-price admission. Cost will be $5 per adult, $4 for senior citizens, $3 for children 3-12. Pass can also be used for a 10% discount at the museum’s gift shop. The museum is currently open Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

 


 

New Britain Museum of American Art - New Britain, CT

This pass admits up to 4 people free. One adult must accopmany children under 16. Use our library pass to make an online reservation using library’s name as a MEMBER name. Present museum pass at front desk on arrival. The museum is currently open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.; Thursday until 8. The museum is closed from 1 to 2 p.m. for cleaning. Guests are asked to limit their visits to 90 minutes. The cafĂ© is closed. Bring a picnic to enjoy in adjacent Walnut Hill Park.

 


 

CT State Parks/Historic Buildings (No Child Left Inside) Pass

This pass waives the entrance fees for 2 adults and 4 children (12 and under). Can be used at Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, Gillette Castle State Park in East Haddam and Fort Trumbull State Park and Visitor Center in New London.
